What to Expect
DAY 1: Groups meet at 9:30 am at our office at 625 Riversands Road, where you can park your car at our enclosed property. Sleeping bags, tents, and other personal items you don’t need on the river will be packed into a large trailer that will meet you in camp. Once you are checked in and your car is secure, we recommend you leave your car keys behind in our office so they don’t take a swim if you do. The trip begins with a beautiful 60-min drive along the Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway, a stretch of highway famous for its breathtaking views of sandstone cliffs, desert valleys, and lush river bottoms. You’ll find a refreshing cold cut sandwich lunch waiting when you arrive at the launch site. After an orientation on river safety, you’ll push off into the flowing water and get underway. Swimming breaks, splashy water fights, and relaxing under the sun will take up the rest of the day as you float toward camp. After arriving in camp and setting up your personal items, you are welcome to take a little hike or participate in other group activities as the guides cook up a hearty dinner. After dinner, our talented guides may entertain you with campfire guitar songs or start a rousing game like Capture the Flag. Some guests choose to cozy up inside their tents, but you’re free to sleep under the stars in nice weather.
DAY 2: After a tasty hot breakfast, you’ll push off to enjoy the splashy rapids and magnificent scenery of the Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River. Your guides will prepare a refreshing buffet-style lunch riverside. Winding canyon views and a sandy beach for playing will finish off your adventure, returning to Moab about 4:00 pm.
What to Bring
On a wilderness adventure, happiness is bringing less -- not more. The items on this list should meet your needs throughout your trip. Choose clothing that will keep you comfortable through a full day under the sun and can get wet. Most guests meet at our office ready for rafting, but a changing area and restrooms are available if you prefer to travel in regular clothing and change there.
Recommended Clothing:
- Sun hat (and string to keep it from blowing off)
- Quick drying shorts and/or swimming suit
- T-shirts (Long sleeve is a good idea for sun protection in the hot summer months)
- River sandals or two pairs tennis shoes (one to get wet, one for camp)
- Lightweight long pants
- Socks and underwear
- Fleece jacket or sweatshirt
- Rain gear
- Recommended Personal Items:
- Water bottle (16-32oz) to take on the river
- Sleeping bag*
- Sleeping pad*
- Ground cloth*
- Tent (optional)*
- Plenty of sunscreen and lip balm (at least SPF 15)
- Body lotion
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Biodegradable soap (such as Ivory)
- Insect repellent
- Small towel & personal hygiene items

- Kleenex (small travel packs)
- Medication if needed
- Extra pair prescription glasses or contact lenses

- Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries

- Money for T-shirts, maps, and gratuities at the end of the trip
- Medium Ziploc bags – 5 or 6 for handy storage
* If you do not wish to bring your own camping gear, you can rent from us for a small cleaning fee. Cost is $10/night for a sleeping bag and pad, and $10/night for a 2-person tent.

Policies and Agreement
Points to Remember
Waivers: Every participant must complete a waiver before going on the river. A parent or legal guardian must also sign for each minor. Your confirmation email and trip documents explain the paper and online options.
Life jackets and boats: We provide the life jackets and all rafting equipment. Everyone must wear the provided life jacket while on the river. Please do not bring your own life jacket or watercraft.
Food allergies and dietary needs: Review the menu in your trip documents and email us about any food allergies before your trip. Remind your guides when meals are being prepared. We may be able to adjust how food is prepared, but we do not offer individual menu substitutions. Participants are welcome to bring supplemental food for their own dietary needs. Anyone with a severe allergy should bring their prescribed emergency medication.
Health and participation: Please review the trip details and let us know ahead of time about any condition that could affect someone’s participation. Anyone who is ill should stay home.Non-Group Reservation

Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $10 per person is due within three weeks of receiving your reservation confirmation, based on your best estimate of group size. The deposit is applied toward your group’s balance. If your entire group cancels, the deposit is not refunded.
For reservations made within 90 days of departure, the full balance is due as soon as possible after the reservation is made. If we have not received your deposit, we will contact you before releasing your reservation. Please let us know promptly if your group makes other plans.
Payment
Your remaining balance is due 90 days before departure, preferably by check. The 5% Reservation Fee is waived when the balance is paid by group check or group checks received in our office before your launch date. The fee is not waived for credit card payments or multiple checks from individual participants.
If your group needs more time to pay, please email us. A late payment does not automatically cancel your reservation; we will contact you before releasing it.
Adding Participants
Email additions to info@worldwideriver.com as soon as possible and include your order number. For additions on departure day, email or text us by 7:00 a.m. so we can finalize boats, meals, and driver schedules. We cannot guarantee space for last-minute additions. Additional participants may be paid for by check or credit card upon arrival, and the Reservation Fee applies to participants added at the last minute.
Full Group Cancellations
If your entire group cancels between 90 days and 24 hours before departure, 50% of the money collected is forfeited, including the non-refundable deposit. If the entire group cancels within 24 hours of departure, all money collected is forfeited.
Individual Cancellations, Count Changes & Refunds
Please keep track of your participants and tell us as soon as you know your count has decreased. To receive a refund or credit for more than two individual cancellations, notify us at least 24 hours before departure. Earlier notice helps us adjust meals, boats, drivers, and guides.
Up to two individual cancellations reported by email or text by 7:00 a.m. on departure day are eligible for a refund or credit. If you first report a larger decrease after the 24-hour deadline, only two cancellations are eligible; the additional cancellations are not refundable or creditable. Refunds are processed after the river trip.
Please send your exact participant count by 7:00 a.m. on departure day, even if it has not changed. Email info@worldwideriver.com or text 435-259-7515, and include the order number shown at the top of your reservation.
When a refund is issued for a credit card payment, the Reservation Fee is not refunded. Instead of receiving an eligible refund, your group may apply that credit toward guide gratuities at the end of the trip.
