What to Expect
DAY 1: Groups meet at 9:30 am at our office at 625 Riversands Road, where you can park your car at our enclosed property. Sleeping bags, tents, and other personal items you don’t need on the river will be packed into a large trailer that will meet you in camp. Once you are checked in and your car is secure, we recommend you leave your car keys behind in our office so they don’t take a swim if you do. The trip begins with a beautiful 60-min drive along the Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway, a stretch of highway famous for its breathtaking views of sandstone cliffs, desert valleys, and lush river bottoms. You’ll find a refreshing cold cut sandwich lunch waiting when you arrive at the launch site. After an orientation on river safety, you’ll push off into the flowing water and get underway. Swimming breaks, splashy water fights, and relaxing under the sun will take up the rest of the day as you float toward camp. After arriving in camp and setting up your personal items, you are welcome to take a little hike or participate in other group activities as the guides cook up a hearty dinner. After dinner, our talented guides may entertain you with an activity or participate in one that you provide. Some guests choose to cozy up inside their tents, but you’re free to sleep under the stars in nice weather.
DAY 2: After a tasty hot breakfast, you’ll push off to enjoy the splashy rapids and magnificent scenery of the Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River. Your guides will prepare a refreshing buffet-style lunch riverside. Winding canyon views and a sandy beach for playing will finish off your adventure, returning to Moab sometime between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
What to Bring
On a wilderness adventure, happiness is bringing less -- not more. The items on this list should meet your needs throughout your trip. Please pack everything in a soft bag, such as a duffel or laundry bag, with your name on it. Place things that may spill in individual plastic baggies, and wrap breakables in soft items (or better yet, leave them at home). Keep in mind that the things in your camp bag will NOT be with you while you’re on the river. Choose clothing that will keep you comfortable through a full day under the sun and can get wet. Most guests meet at our office ready for rafting, but a changing area and restrooms are available if you prefer to travel in regular clothing and change there.

Policies and Agreement
Points to Remember
Liability Waiver Form: While Raft Moab, Inc. DBA World Wide River Expeditions takes great care when it comes to passenger safety, whitewater rafting has some inherent risks. Each participant will be required to sign an acknowledgment of risk form before participating. Parents must sign with minor children. Printed paper waivers are preferred for large youth group trips due to the difficulty of making changes in the online registration system. When printing the waiver form be sure to check the "fit to printable area" mark on the printer so it prints correctly. Please send the forms to our office at least 30 days before your trip date. Forms that are not printed correctly will not be accepted. While small family groups and some trips can fill out the online guest information and waiver forms online, it is not available for large groups to fill it out online.
Boats and Safety Equipment Provided: A Type V personal flotation device (lifejacket) is supplied and must be worn by all participants while on the river. We also recommend them when floating in the river from camp. Per Utah state law a Type V PFD that states on the label it is designed for commercial use, is required for all passengers traveling with a commercial outfitter. All watercrafts are also provided, including oar and paddle rafts and inflatable kayaks on some trips. We do not allow guests to wear their own lifejackets or bring their own watercraft on our trips.
Dietary Needs: A menu is provided in the trip documents. We do not make substitutions to our menu based on dietary needs but will make adjustments in preparation in the case of documented extreme allergies. Please let us know ahead of time by email of any food allergies and then remind the guides as they start to fix the meal so adjustments can be made to the food preparation (i.e. keeping croutons out of the salad, providing a vegetarian sauce, keeping peanut butter off the serving table until the participant has gone through). If the allergy is severe other precautions will be taken. Any participant with a food allergy, sensitivity, or dietary requirements are welcome to bring any items to supplement what we are providing in their own food containers. In the case of extreme allergies with anaphylactic reaction, participants need to provide their own epi pen.
Fitness to Participate: We ask that all participants verify they have sufficient skill and fitness to participate and have no medical, mental, or physical conditions that would interfere. Guests showing symptoms of any illness please refrain from participating.Group FT Payment, Cancellation, & Refund Policy
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $10 per person is due at the time of the reservation on your best guess of the number of participants you might have in your group. The deposit goes toward the group total and once it is paid it is non-refundable if your entire group cancels their reservation. If your reservation is made within 90 days of your launch date, the full balance is due as soon as possible after the reservation is made. As a courtesy, please let us know if your group has made other plans so we are not holding space for you. Reservations are never automatically cancelled without contacting the group in case there is a missed communication.
Payment: Your balance is due 90 days before your launch date preferably by check. The Reservation Fee is waived when balance due payments are made by one group check and in our office before your launch date. The Reservation Fee is not waived when balance due payments are made by credit card or multiple individual checks. Please email us if your group needs more time to get your payment in. Reservations are not cancelled in the event the payment is late, but as a courtesy, please let us know if your group has made other plans.
Adding Participants: If you have a few extra participants you need to add at the last minute please text or email us at least 4 hours before your launch time. You can either bring a check or pay by credit card upon your arrival. The Reservation Fee will be applied to the individuals adding at the last minute.
Cancellations: Group cancellations between 90 days and 24 hours prior to departure forfeit 50% of monies collected (the deposit is non-refundable), while cancellations within 24 hours of departure will forfeit all monies. We know that individual numbers are hard to pin down until the last minute. While we try to be as flexible as we can with individual participant changes, cancellation, and additions, we cannot guarantee we will have space and we will not issue refunds on the departure date without our office receiving text or email notice of reservation changes. If your numbers change within 24 hours of your launch date (as your group is traveling to Moab) please email info@worldwideriver.com with your current group totals. Please include your order number located at the top of your reservation in all correspondence. Please, as a courtesy to us, let us know your exact count by 7 am the day of your departure.
Refunds: Refunds for individual cancellations are given after the river trip. For payments made by credit card the Reservation Fee is not refunded when refunds are issued.
