For 84 miles, the Main Salmon River flows through wilderness backcountry, past abandoned mines, homesteads, Indian sites and the dwellings of people who care for the historical sites of those who homesteaded in the canyon years ago.

The Main Salmon River Corridor is punctuated with Class III and IV rapids and provides plenty of action for families of all ages, capabilities, and interests. For the most adventurous, there are inflatable kayaks that allow you to navigate through the rapids, while for the less daring, 4-man paddle rafts are provided for participation in a team effort. For simple comfort and relaxation, nothing beats the 18' self-bailing rafts, controlled by your professional guide.
